Aquatic invasive species is everyone’s business. Invasive mussels were detected for the first time in Montana in October, 2016. In the absence of their natural predators, invasive mussels can cause significant problems. They can choke off agricultural irrigation systems, clog drinking water and hydropower facilities, devastate Montana’s premier fisheries, and damage boats and motors.
We all have the responsibility to help stop the spread of aquatic invasive species to other Montana waters. Boaters-Anglers-All Water Uses: Please practice CLEAN.DRAIN.DRY
