Arbor Day

Valley County Conservation District is a member of the National Arbor Day Foundation. On Arbor Day (April 27), VCCD members visit area elementary schools, discuss the benefits that trees provide, and presents each third grader a free tree seedling for them to take home and plant. We also host a community open house. In 2017, 60 Colorado spruce seedlings were given to the public at the open house.
