VCCD sponsors a variety of conservation programs. The Outdoor Classroom is an annual educational outreach program in which 8 state and federal government agencies partner up to provide natural resource mini-classes to area 5th-graders right in the great outdoors.
Similarly, we celebrate the national Arbor Day with Valley County’s 3rd-graders by visiting their schools, discussing the importance of planting trees, and giving out a seeding to each child to plant in his/her backyard.
Conservation Districts take turns hosting the Winter Grazing Seminar each year. Valley County had the spotlight in 2017, drawing over 100 people from all over Montana.
